Under the joint initiative of ASED Habigonj and CAMPE (Campaign for Popular Education), various educational and awareness activities are being implemented in four secondary schools of Baniachong Upazila, Habiganj district, with the support of Malala Fund. As part of these activities, an inter-school debate competition was recently organized.
The debate competition aimed to engage students in developing their speaking ability, logical reasoning, and analytical thinking skills. The event was held in a knockout system, with teams from four schools participating enthusiastically.
In the final round, Ratna High School and College faced Hanif Khan Dimukhi High School. Both teams presented impressive arguments and counterarguments on the assigned topic. Based on the judges’ evaluation, Hanif Khan Dimukhi High School was declared the champion.
The main objective of the debate competition was to enhance students’ critical thinking, public speaking, confidence, and teamwork skills. It also aimed to raise awareness among students about social and educational issues, encouraging them to think constructively and express their opinions confidently.
