Md. Ilias Miah

Mohammad Ilias Miah

Mohammad Ilias Miah was born on 01 February 1964. He obtained his MSS degree in 1989 from Jagannath University ‍and LLB degree from Dhaka City Law College in 1991. After passing the advocacy examination, he started practicing law in Habiganj Judges Court from 1993. Besides legal profession, he was involved in various social, literary and cultural activities. Since 1998, he has been associated with the activities of ASED. Currently, he is serving as the President of the Executive Council of ASED.

Nilufar Yasmin

Ms. Nilufar Yasmin

Nilufar Yasmin was born on 01 March 1974. He appeared in the HSC examination in 1993. Since her student days, she has worked against various superstitions of the society. She served as the elected female vice chairman of Bahubal Upazila Parishad under Habiganj district from 2009-2014. She is again serving as the elected female vice chairman of Bahubal Upazila Parishad since 2019. Since 2000 he has been involved as a member of the General Assembly of ASSED and has been contributing as a member of the Executive Council since 2016.

Sheikh Jamal Uddin

Sheikh Jamal Uddin

Sheikh Jamal Uddin was born on 31 December 1971. He obtained Electrical Engineering Diploma Degree in 1989 from Feni Poly Technic Institute. He is involved with various social development initiatives. He is involved with ASED HABIGONJ from earlier stage of establishment and now she is an Executive Member of ASED HABIGONJ.

Faruque Uddin Chowdhury-1

Faruque Uddin Chowdhury

Faruque Uddin Chowdhury was born in 1st September 1961. He obtained Prost Graduation Degree in Psychology form Dhaka University in 1985. He started his career in 1989 as a lecturer at Nagarpur Degree College in Tangail district. He worked there till 1992. Then in 1993 he joined Alif Sobhan Degree College of Bahubal Upazila as a lecturer. In 1997, he took charge of Acting Principal in the same college. Since 2001 he has been working as Principal of the same college. Besides college teaching, he is devoted to journalism, publishing and social service work. Since 1991 he has been a member of the General Council of Endeavor (NGO), serving as its Executive President from 2004-2010. He was a life member of Chunarughat Press Club and elected president 3 times. Since 2000, he has been serving as the President of Bangladesh Human Rights Foundation. Since 2016, he has been serving as the executive council member of ASED HABIGONJ (NGO).

Monowara Begum was born in November 30, 1969. She completed Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) from Open University. After completing HSC he started teaching profession with a primary school in 1997. Now she is involved with various social development initiatives. She is involved with ASED from earlier stage of establishment and now she is an Executive Member of ASED.

Marjiya Begum

Marjia Begum

Marjia Begum was born on September 30, 1975. She completed Higher Secondary Certificate from Brindaban Govt. College in 1992 and obtained Bachelor Degree from Open University in 2019. After completing HSC, she started a Kinder Garden (KG) School in his own village. She has been serving as the Director of that renowned KG School. In addition to that she has been involved with ASED since 2005 and now one of the Executive Members of ASED.

Sultana Nasrin

Sultana Nasrin

Sultana Nasrin was born on December 25, 1978. She completed Higher Secondary Certificate from Moulvibazar Women’s College in 1998. She is a successful entrepreneur and skilled handicraft maker. She has been involved with ASED since 1993 and now is the Deputy Chief Executive of ASED.

Jafar Iqbal Chowdhury

Jafar Iqbal Chowdhury

Jafar Iqbal Chowdhury was born on June 5, 1970. He passed Bachelor Degree (BSc) from M C College, Sylhet under Chittagong University in 1990. After completion of graduation degree in 1991 he started a voluntary development organization named ASED with the help of maternal uncles, brother & sister and friends. ASED started its development activities with the support of UNICEF but later expanded its activities to the entire Habigonj district with the help of other development partners. ASED gained much important recognitions in the implementation of its activities. In the `Healthy City Project’ adopted by World Health Organization (WHO) and Department of Public Health Engineering (DPHE) in 2001-2005, ASED was awarded in 2003 the best implementing partner in Bangladesh. ASED was also awarded the best successful youth organization within Sylhet Division of Bangladesh in 2013 by the Department of Youth Development of Bangladesh Government.
